Directions to Eliza Furnace Historic Site

From Indiana and the north: Follow Route 954 South (6th Street Extension) to Route 422. Turn left onto Route 422 East. Follow Route 422 East to Strongstown. In Strongstown, turn right onto Route 403 South and follow signs for the Ghost Town Trail/Eliza Furnace to the Rexis Access Area on the left. Park at the Rexis Access Area and walk 200 yards toward Vintondale to reach the furnace.

From Johnstown and the south: Follow Route 403 North from Johnstown. Route 403 leads directly to Dilltown. In Dilltown, turn right onto River Road. Follow River Road to Wehrum Road. Turn left onto Wehrum Road. Follow Wehrum Road to the Rexis Access Area on the right. Park at the Rexis Access Area and walk 200 yards toward Vintondale to reach the furnace.

From Ebensburg and the east: Follow Route 22 West to the Cambria/Indiana County line. Proceed 1.7 miles past the county line to Wehrum Road. Turn right onto Wehrum Road and follow five miles to the Rexis Access Area on the right. Park at the Rexis Access Area and walk 200 yards toward Vintondale to reach the furnace.

From Blairsville and the west: Follow Route 22 East to the Route 403 exit. Take exit and turn left onto Route 403 North. Follow 1.2 miles to Dilltown. In Dilltown, turn right onto River Road. Follow River Road to Wehrum Road. Turn left onto Wehrum Road. Follow Wehrum Road to the Rexis Access Area on the right. Park at the Rexis Access Area and walk 200 yards toward Vintondale to reach the furnace.
